Ruaridh Stewart brings over a decade of international photojournalism and editing experience to ZUMA Press. As the News Director, Stewart oversees the work of a team of Photo Editors and is the chief point of contact for all incoming and outgoing images from ZUMA photographers and partners around the world.

Prior to joining ZUMA, Stewart spent nine years living and working in Asia-Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, Stewart held a number key positions with national newspapers, most recently with Hong Kong's largest and most outspoken Chinese newspaper, Apple Daily News, where he was an international assignment photographer.

Stewart was the recipient of several top honors in Asian photojournalism awarded by the Hong Kong Press Photographers Association: including a "POY" and "Best News Picture" for his news coverage and reportage photography.

Stewart is a Photography and Media Studies graduate from Edinburgh, Scotland. He is a member of the Hong Kong Press Photographers' Association as well as the NPPA and PPAGLA, and remains an active photographer.
