Jack Kurtz

JACK KURTZ is a longtime newspaper photojournalist and contributor to Impact Digitals. Kurtz is focused on exploring the dynamics of the American Southwest and Mexico. He has created unique features on the evolution of the West from the agricultural "Old West" to the development-driven "New West," with emphasis on America's relationship with Mexico--a relationship depicted visually with in-depth reportage on border issues, illegal immigration and exploration of themes like shared cultures and the effects of NAFTA.

Kurtz has also reported from Nicaragua, Haiti, the Philippines and Cuba. His work has run in the New York Times, the Washington Post, Newsweek, TIME, U.S. News & World Report and other publications around the world. Kurtz joined ZUMA Press in 2004.
