Georgie Scott
Born in 1974, Georgie Scott was given her first camera at the age of 11. Soon after began her journey of telling stories through compelling pictures.
Scott moved on to complete a degree in photography at the London College of Printing (LCP) in 1995. During her time at the LCP, she worked as an assistant to Tim Page, the world renown Vietnam War photographer, before graduating in 1998 and pursuing her own career as a freelance reportage and documentary photojournalist.
Scott has worked both overseas and at home in the U.K. for a number of nongovernmental organizations and charities. These have included Save the Children, World Development Movement, Voluntary Services Overseas, Landmine Action and The British Red Cross. Scott has also been commissioned by the Sunday Times, The Guardian, and Elle Magazine, among others.
Her work has taken her to Pakistan, India, Zimbabwe, Egypt and much of South East Asia. Scott lives in London and is represented by the photo agency eyevine.
