Benjamin Rusnak


Since 2000, Benjamin Rusnak has documented heart-stopping hunger and poverty in Latin America and the Caribbean for leading NGO: Food for the Poor (FFP), an international relief and development agency.

Rusnak's decade of photojournalism experience with newspapers gives him the dexterity necessary to create evocative compositions that capture the intensity and gravity of situations in the third world. To put it simply, the concerned photojournalist is a strong storyteller.

Over the years, Pictures of the Year International, Best of Photojournalism, the Gordon Parks Photo Competition and the Alexia Foundation have recognized Rusnak's work. In 2005, he held a solo exhibition at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre.

Rusnak is currently living in South Florida, where he is particularly well positioned to cover the Caribbean and Central and South America. He joined ZUMA Press' award-winning team of reportage photojournalists in 2006.
